Change or remove the Google Calendar assigned to a Meet hardware device

To schedule meetings for a Meet hardware device, assign a Calendar to the device. As an admin, you can also remove a Calendar from a Meet hardware device or change which calendar is assigned to it. 

To change or remove a Calendar, you must have the Manage calendar assignment admin privilege

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

    Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

  2. Go to Menu and then Devicesand thenGoogle Meet hardwareand thenDevices.
  3. Click a device to update.
  4. Click Video conferencing and calendar.
  5. Click On or Off.
    If you don’t want the device to be used for video conferencing at all, choose Off and skip to step 8.
  6. If you choose On, click Video conferencing on this device or Pair to a Meet Hardware device.
    Pairing a device allows the device to automatically present a whiteboard to any meeting it joins.
  7. If you choose Video conferencing on this device, click an option:
  • Room calendar—Assign a room calendar to this device.
    • Select the room where the device is located, and click Save.
      If the room doesn’t appear in the list, click Manage resources, enter the room name, and click Save.
      Calendar events that include the room will appear on the device. 
  • Personal calendar—Assign a single user's calendar to this device.
    Enter the name or email address of the user and click Save.
    Calendar events that include the user will appear on the device.
  • No calendar—Remove a previously assigned calendar from this device. Users can still use the device for unscheduled meetings.

8. Click Save.
