  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. In the top left, click Create Add.
  3. Add the event title and any other details.
  4. Next to "Does not repeat," click the Down arrow Down arrow.
  5. Choose how often you want the event to repeat, and when you want the event that repeats to end.
  6. At the top right, click Save.

The event organizer and event guests can quickly email or chat with everyone invited to the event directly from Calendar.

  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. Click an event.
  3. Next to the number of guests, select an option:
    • Chat with guests : A new or existing chat opens. Only Chat-enabled guests in your work or school organization are included in the chat.
    • Email guests : A new email opens. All invited guests are included in the email.

  1. In Calendar, at the top, click Search .
  2. Enter a search keyword. Results appear as you enter text and you might see results from other Google Workspace services, such as Gmail and Drive.
  3. (Optional) To see advanced search options, in the search bar, click the Down arrow . Enter your search query and click Search.
  4. Click a search result to see the details for that event.

You can copy an event from one of your calendars to another.

  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. Click an event and then Options .
  3. Choose a calendar to copy the event to. 
  4. Click Save.

Set an out-of-office message that will automatically decline all meetings during that time.

When you indicate that you’re out of office, your calendar will automatically decline all meetings during that time.

  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. At the top of your calendar, click the first date you’ll be out of the office.
  3. Click Out of office.
  4. Select the dates that you’ll be out of the office. You can also specify a time.
  5. Optional: To schedule out-of-office events that repeat, below the day and time you select, click the drop down menu next to “Does not repeat” and then choose a frequency.
  6. Optional: Change your decline settings and edit your decline message.
  7. Click Save.

  1. Open Google Calendar.
  2. In the top right, click Settings menu Settings and then Trash. You find the events deleted from this calendar.
    • To restore an individual event, next to the event, click Restore Undo.
    • To restore selected events, above the list, click Restore all selected Undo.

Note: Deleted events are kept in the Trash for 30 days before being permanently deleted.
