Your experience with TalkBack 14.1 is improved with:
- Image descriptions (English only)
- Typo correction with on-screen braille keyboard
- Auto scroll with your braille display

- New assignable commands for physical keyboard
Image descriptions
You can now have your images described in addition to already existing text and icon detection. To get images described, you will need to turn on image descriptions and download the library.
To turn on image descriptions:
- To bring up the TalkBack menu, tap with three fingers.
- Tap TalkBack Settings
Automatic descriptions
Tip: Image descriptions are only available in English.
After you have image descriptions set up:
- To have an image described, open the TalkBack menu with three fingers.
- Go to Describe images.
Tip: For quicker access, you can assign a gesture for image descriptions in TalkBack’s settings. Learn how to customise TalkBack gestures.
Typo correction with on-screen braille keyboard
You can use new gestures to check for typos with the on-screen braille keyboard.
To access the spellcheck mode, swipe left or right with three fingers.
Tip: If you want to type, you have to leave spellcheck mode, as the spell check gestures interfere with gestures used when you type. To leave spellcheck mode, swipe left or right with three fingers.

Important: To get a list of all available gestures, tap TalkBack settings

Auto scroll with your braille display
You can read without pressing buttons to pan your braille display with the auto scroll feature. You can adjust the rate of auto scroll with braille display commands and through the braille display settings.
Important: To get a list of all available commands for your braille display, tap TalkBack settings
List of auto scroll commands

You can adjust if the scrolling duration changes based on display length. You can also adjust the duration of auto scrolling.
To access auto scroll settings, go to TalkBack settings
Additional languages and tables for braille
You can read and write braille with a braille display in 47 languages. These include recently added languages, like:
- Bulgarian
- Hebrew
- Hebrew eight-dot computer braille
- Icelandic
- Icelandic eight-dot computer braille
- Kannada
- Latvian
- Lithuanian
- Lithuanian eight-dot braille
Tip: To switch between braille grades, press Space + dots 1, 2, 4 and 5.
New assignable commands for physical keyboards
If you use a physical keyboard, you can now assign a hotkey for the 'copy last utterance' and the 'show/hide screen' functions. To do this, go to TalkBack settings
