Offerwall messages are designed to help you quickly experiment with new monetization opportunities to grow revenue on your site. Display an Offerwall message to your site visitors to offer them alternative ways to support your site and gain access to your content, such as by viewing a rewarded ad or paying a small fee.
On the Privacy & messaging tab, you can create an Offerwall and define which user choices it displays, the pages it appears on, and how frequently it's shown to repeat site visitors. You can use the predefined user choices in the message builder and even build your own custom choice.
To understand how site visitors interact with your Offerwall, create a Privacy & messaging report that includes the Offerwall metrics.
Structure of a message
An Offerwall message contains several screens that are shown to users when they view your message, which you can preview and configure in the Privacy & messaging message builder:
- Offerwall: The main screen of your Offerwall message. Displays an overview of the user choices you turn on in the message builder and instructs site visitors to make a selection to continue accessing your site's content.
- Logo (recommended): Your site's logo. To include a logo here, add a logo to your site.
- Body text: Customizable copy for your message.
- User choices: The list of user choices you have selected for your Offerwall. User choices allow site visitors to choose how they access your site content.
- User choice screens: The screens shown to site visitors when they click a user choice on your Offerwall and take action to complete the user choice (for example, by viewing a rewarded ad). The available user choice screens shown in the message builder preview depend on which user choices you've turned on.
- Confirmation: An editable confirmation message displayed to site visitors who select and complete one of the user choices.

Tag your site with GPT to display messages
The GPT tag is required for your site to display messages, including Offerwall messages. Ensure you tag your site with GPT to display messages to users.
Run an Offerwall experiment
Set up and run an experiment on your Offerwall to understand how it may perform when it's fully implemented on your site.
Test your Offerwall
When you load your page to test your Offerwall, keep the following in mind:
- Quickly reloading the page without any interaction may not count as a page view. A page view is more likely to be counted by scrolling around and looking at the page for at least a few seconds.
- It may be helpful for you to set the page view frequency threshold to zero during testing so the Offerwall is displayed immediately. Remember to set it back to the desired frequency threshold after testing.
- Your Offerwall will be blocked if an ad blocker is in use. Learn more about troubleshooting blocked user messages
