You can monetize your video content when it is embedded on other websites. All video inventory must comply with the Google Ad Manager Partner Guidelines and policies for MCM.
Please ensure that the code embedding your video player is compliant with Ad Exchange in-stream video policies. Specifically, check that the embed code meets the following requirements:
- The allowScriptAccess parameter is set to "always".
- The embed code is well-formed and includes the class-id and type parameters.
You are responsible for where your ad code appears, and for any advertiser damage that results from that placement. Be mindful about releasing your code.
Best practices
- Whenever possible, provide JavaScript embed tags instead of HTML. You never know when you'll need to change your embed code.
- Create channels for all trusted partners or released embed snippets. Keep track of what foreign traffic looks like, and turn off ad serving if you are experiencing uncommon behaviors (for example much higher CTRs). There's no benefit to jeopardizing your entire account over monetizing an embed base.
