Receive payments by Western Union

Western Union Quick Cash is a payment method that allows you to receive your payments in cash using the Western Union (WU) money transfer service.

You must pick up your payment in the same country to which your payment was issued. Payments will be available for pickup at your local Western Union agent the day after they are issued.

Your Western Union Quick Cash payment will be made in US dollars or Euros. However, at most Western Union Agent locations, you may have the option to receive your payment in your local currency. Conversion rates will be calculated according to the rate used by the Western Union agent on the day you pick up your payment.

At this time, Ad Exchange does not charge you a fee if you choose to receive payments by Western Union Quick Cash.

Sign up for payments by Western Union

If you would like to receive your revenue by Western Union Quick Cash, please complete the following steps. Western Union payments are available to individual publishers, organizations or businesses and must be picked up in the same country of issue.

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. Click Payments and then Payments info.
  3. Click Add payment method.
  4. Enter the settings for Western union.
  5. Click Save to save your payment type.

Make sure that the name on your account exactly matches that on the government issued ID card that you will bring to pick up your Western Union Quick Cash payments. For business accounts, you will need to supply the name of an individual who represents the company to receive the payment. If you need to update your name in your account, please follow these instructions.

Pick up your WU payment

In order to pick up your payment by Western Union Quick Cash, please complete the following steps:

  1. Visit http://payment-solutions.com/agent.asp to find a Western Union Agent located in the country where your payments are sent.
  2. Call the Western Union Agent to confirm that they offer the Quick Cash service.
  3. Bring the following information with you:
    • A valid government-issued photo ID (Passport, Driver's license, National ID and so forth)
    • Sender's information:
      To determine which sender's information you should bring to your WU branch, click an automatic payment on your "Payment Transactions" page.

      • Amount of your payment, which you can find on your "Payment transactions" page.
      • Your unique MTCN (Money Transfer Control Number) which you can find by via the payment link in the Payment Issued line on your "Payment transactions" page.

In certain countries, you may be required to provide the answer to a test question when picking up your Quick Cash payment. This is an additional step to ensure that your payment is transferred securely. You can find this information by examining your Payment Receipt, found in the automatic payment link on your Payments page.

When you go to the Western Union agent, please let them know that you would like to pick up a Quick Cash payment. Additionally, please remember to pick up your Western Union payment within 60 days of the payment date, or the amount will be credited back to your Ad Exchange account.

Currency and exchange rate

Your Western Union Quick Cash payment will be made in US dollars or Euros. However, at most Western Union agents, you may be able to pick up your payment in your local currency.

We recommend that you call your local Western Union Agent to confirm which currencies are available. The exchange rate will vary based on the rate used by the Western Union agent on the day you pick up your payment.

Deadline for WU payment

You'll need to pick up your payment within 60 days after it's issued. If you do not pick it up within 60 days, your revenue will be credited back to your account and your payments will be put on hold.

If your Quick Cash payment is held, you'll need to visit your Payments page, read the red alert located on the top of the page and take any action required to activate payments to your account.
