Categories allow you to organize and filter your audience segments by common themes—for example, Demographics, Geographic, or Interest. You can assign categories to your first-party audience segments within Ad Manager, and categories may already be included in segments from data providers.
When applying audience segment targeting to Ad Manager line items, you can filter the available segments by categories to simplify the trafficking process. The available categories for audience segments are displayed within Ad Manager under the segment category picker.
