Report on shared video inventory

You can create a report for video as you would any other report in Ad Manager. For shared inventory, reporting separates host, partner, and fallback queries:

  • Host: inventory selected for the Ad Manager host that were never eligible for the partner to fill.
  • Partner: inventory selected for the partner, where the partner either served an ad, or where the partner was offered the inventory but no ad (partner or fallback) was filled.
  • Fallback: inventory selected for the partner, where the partner failed to serve an ad, and a host ad has served as a fallback ad.

This dimension supports the following existing Ad Manager reporting metrics:

Metric Description
Total ad requests The number of requests for individual ads, whether an ad was selected or not.
Responses served The number of requests where an ad was selected to serve in a guaranteed or sequenced position (in other words, not in a "waterfall" or "ad buffet" position reserved in case of failure).
Unmatched ad requests The number of requests where no ad was selected to serve.
Impressions The number of served ads that registered an impression, per MRC standards.
Errors The number of cases where an ad was served but an error occurred.
