Using web content behind login for content mapping in apps

Provide login details to your websites so that the content crawler can deliver ads to your pages #contentmapping #crawleraccess

To use web content behind a login for content mapping in your apps, you need to provide login details for the corresponding websites. This will give the content crawler access to visit your pages and deliver ads. You also need to verify that these websites are yours in Search Console

  1. Sign in to your AdMob account at https://apps.admob.com.
  2. Click Settings in the sidebar.
  3. Click the Crawler Access tab.
  4. Click Add login details
  5. In the Login information section, provide the login details that our crawler will use to access your site:
    • Restricted directory or URL: The URL that's blocked from our crawler's access.
    • Login URL: The URL that our crawler should visit to sign in.
    • Login method: The method that your site uses to authenticate users who log in. POST and GET are both common authentication methods.
  6. In the Login parameters section, provide the credentials that our crawler will use to sign in (for example, your app's username and password). For GET and POST methods, please enter the URL parameter key-value pairs such that your server will return a cookie for logged-in access.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Sign in to Search Console using your Google Account. You must be using your Google Account in order for any changes that you make in Search Console to be reflected in your AdMob account.
  9. Add your URL to your Search Console account by following these instructions. Make sure that you add the site that you want to allow our crawler to access.
  10. After you've verified your site, the login details that you've provided should allow the content crawler to reach your pages and provide ads.
