Apps

Unlink your app from app stores

You can unlink your app from any app store by clearing the app store details. This can help if you incorrectly linked your app or if you no longer want the app associated with your account.

Clearing the app store details from an app also allows you to reuse its package name or store ID in a different app.

Note: Apps must be linked to a supported app store in order to serve ads. Once you clear your app store details, AdMob will limit your ad serving.

Clear your app's store details

When you clear app store details, your app is unlinked from any previously linked app stores. If you save your app without linking to a supported store, AdMob will limit your ad serving.

  1. Sign in to your AdMob account at https://apps.admob.com.
  2. Click Apps in the sidebar.
  3. Click the name of the app that you want to unlink.
  4. Click App settings.
  5. In the 'App store details' section, click Edit.
  6. Click Clear store details.
  7. Click Save.

Once your app is unlinked, ad serving will be impacted. Additionally, this app will appear in your Apps to confirm page if this app has generated ad requests recently.

Next steps

If you no longer want to use this app in AdMob, no further action is required. To restart ad serving in this app, you’ll need to link your app to a supported app store again.

If this app appears in your 'Apps to confirm' page and you no longer want this app associated with your account, click Not my app.

To reuse the app’s package name or store ID in another app that you’ve set up in AdMob, learn how to change a package name or store ID.
