In AdMob, you can prevent app install ads (also known as "click-to-download" ads) and app re-engagement ads for specific apps from showing up by using blocking controls.
App-level blocking
- Sign in to your AdMob account at https://admob.google.com.
- Click Apps in the sidebar.
- Select the name of your app. If you can't find it in the list of recent apps, you can click View all apps to search a list of all of the apps you've added to AdMob.
- Click Blocking controls under the name of your app in the sidebar.
- Click Manage App install ads.
- Enter the name of the app, the developer, or the app ID you want to block in the search bar. Then, click Search.
- Use the controls on the page to allow or block categories. App install ads from blocked apps should stop showing in your app within 24 hours.
Account-level blocking
- Sign in to your AdMob account at https://admob.google.com.
- Click Blocking controls in the sidebar.
- Click Manage App install ads.
- Enter the name of the app, the developer, or the app ID you want to block in the search bar. Then, click Search.
- Use the controls on the page to allow or block categories. App install ads from blocked apps should stop showing in your app within 24 hours.
For example, if you block 5 apps at the account level, and an additional 50 at the app level, then you've blocked 55 of your 500 limit.
