Review the two types of account structures, below and determine the structure necessary for your organization's needs.
Single-tier account
Many users require a single-tier account: a single account with no sub-accounts. In such cases, data access is solely determined by user access roles. User access determines how users can interact with linked advertising data. In this type of account structure, ads data is linked directly to your Ads Data Hub account.
Dual-tier account
Users with complex organizational structures, such as agencies and some large advertisers, may require a dual-tier account. In a dual-tiered account, your Ads Data Hub account is referred to as a parent account which contains multiple sub-accounts, referred to as child accounts. In this type of account structure, ads data is linked to the child accounts. In such cases, user access can be further restricted by assigning users to a specific child account.
Each account and child account will require a distinct Google Cloud instance. The Google Cloud instance must be in the same region as your Ads Data Hub account. All child accounts inherit their region from the Ads Data Hub account.
