Create and manage sub-accounts

A manager account lets you create new sub-accounts, including sub-manager accounts, and manage any existing sub-accounts.

Types of sub-accounts

You can create two types of sub-accounts:

  • Client accounts are standard Ads Creative Studio accounts that contain projects and assets.
  • Sub-manager accounts are also manager accounts, and can have their own sub-accounts.

Create a sub-account

When you create a sub-account from an existing manager account, the accounts are automatically linked and the manager account is set as the owner of the new sub-account.

  1. Sign in to your Ads Creative Studio manager account.
  2. Click the Add button.
  3. Select Create sub-manager account or Create client account.
  4. Enter the new sub-account's name and other details. Optionally, you can also invite a user to the new account.
  5. Click Save and continue.
  6. Optionally, if you're creating a sub-manager account, you can link accounts to the new sub-manager account.
    • You can select existing sub-accounts of the current manager account to be directly managed by the new sub-manager account instead.
    • You can send link requests to other accounts by entering their account IDs.
  7. Click Done.

Manager hierarchies can be up to 3 levels deep. If you get an error while trying to create a sub-account, the new account may go over this limit.

Manage sub-accounts

You can manage a sub-account by opening it and acting as a user of the account. You can also rename sub-accounts from the manager account.

Open a sub-account

  1. Sign in to your Ads Creative Studio manager account.
  2. Click the sub-account's name in the table.

The account will load and you can make changes according to your access level.

Navigate back to a manager account

To return to the manager account that you originally signed in to, click the Ads Creative Studio logo at the top of the page.

Rename a sub-account

  1. Sign in to your Ads Creative Studio manager account.
  2. Click the Edit icon next to the name of the sub-account that you want to rename.
  3. Enter the new name.
  4. Click Save.
