As required by the Google EU user consent policy, provide the details of your organisation’s data and cookie policy. The privacy policy URL appears in the 'Learn more' section of your European regulations messages. When you add or update the privacy policy URL of a site, the URL is updated in any existing messages and also added automatically to new European regulations messages that you create.
- The pages exist on separate paths from any other URLs where your message will appear. If your privacy policy URL and other pages on your sites share matching paths, we recommend changing your privacy policy URL to a separate path from any other URL where your message appears to ensure that they're not matched.
- The pages don't host scripts that require user consent, including ad tags.
- The pages don't contain the Funding Choices consent message tag.
Complete the following steps to add or update a site's privacy policy URL:
- Sign in to your AdSense account.
- Click Privacy & messaging.
- Click Manage on one of the message type cards on the Privacy & messaging page.
- Click Create message to create a new message or click the message name to edit an existing message.
- Click the 'Your sites' menu in the sidebar. The 'Sites' page opens.
- If there isn't already a privacy policy URL for your site, click Add URL. If there is an existing privacy policy URL, click in the 'Privacy policy URL' field.
- Enter your privacy policy URL.
- Click Save in the 'Privacy policy URL' dialogue box.
- Click Confirm to save your changes and update the privacy policy URL in any existing messages where the site is selected. The privacy policy URL appears in the 'Learn more' section of your European regulations messages.
