Manage your sites

Check the status of your AdSense sites

You can check the approval status and ads.txt status of a site in your AdSense sites list. Learn how to access your Sites page and check your AdSense site status.

  1. Sign in to your AdSense account.
  2. Click Sites.
  3. In the list of sites, find your site and check its approval status and ads.txt status.
    Tip: Use the filter Filter at the top of the page to quickly find sites in your sites list. You can either use the preset terms or enter your own search term.
  4. (Optional) Click a site to get more details about its status.

Approval statuses for sites

Status What it means
Requires review
  • Your site hasn't been checked yet. Click Request review to start the review process.
    "Something went wrong. Please try again later"

    If you have this message, check you've added the correct URL, then try again. If the message persists, your site or subdomain might not yet be eligible for AdSense. Please try again in the future.

  • Or, your site is inactive and needs another review before it can show ads again. Learn how to request a review for an inactive site.
Needs attention You need to fix some issues before your site is ready to show ads. Learn what to do if your new site is not ready.
Getting ready We're running some checks on your site. This usually takes a few days, but in some cases it can take 2-4 weeks.
Note: Make sure you don't remove your site and resubmit it because this can delay the process. We’ll notify you when your site is ready to show ads.

Note: Make sure you follow the AdSense Program policies at all times to continue showing ads. You'll find detailed information about policy violations on your site in the Policy center. Learn how to resolve policy violations in your Policy center.

Ads.txt statuses for sites

Note: AdSense Direct accounts do not support ads.txt files. AdSense Direct publishers can ignore the ads.txt status value.
Status What it means
Not applicable Your publisher ID isn't needed in this site's ads.txt file because the ads.txt file is managed by a platform. No action is required.
Not found No ads.txt file was found when the AdSense crawler last crawled this site. Learn more about creating an ads.txt file.
Unauthorized All ad requests from this site are being rejected because your publisher ID was not found in this site's ads.txt file. To prevent any impact to your revenue, add your publisher ID to the ads.txt file.
Authorized Your publisher ID was found in this site's ads.txt file. No action is required.
