The Google Ads policy on information harvesting will be changing on 17 May 2011. This change will affect all countries. We made this decision to protect users' personally identifiable information. If your site requests payment, financial or personal information from visitors, please review the new requirements and make any necessary changes to avoid your ads being suspended.
- Clear, accessible disclosure of how personal information will be used before visitors submit
- Option to discontinue direct communications in the above disclosure
- SSL when collecting payment and certain financial and personal information
After the new policy comes into effect, the information harvesting policy will be updated to reflect this change.
