In January 2023, Google will update the Financial products and services policy to clarify the scope and requirements for the advertisement of complex speculative financial products.

Beginning January 2023, advertisers offering complex speculative financial products (Contracts for Difference, rolling spot forex, financial spread betting, and synonymous products) targeting the United Arab Emirates may advertise those products and services when they meet the following requirements and are certified by Google.

United Arab Emirates (Contracts for difference, rolling spot forex)

  • Google allows ads promoting complex speculative financial products targeting the United Arab Emirates, as long as the provider of these products is licensed by one of the following authorities; the Securities & Commodities Authority (SCA), the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). Other local legal requirements must also be met, including leverage caps and risk warnings.
  • Advertisers must also be certified with Google.

Violations of this policy will not lead to immediate account suspension without prior warning. A warning will be issued, at least seven days, prior to any suspension of your account.
