In March 2024, Google will update the India election ads policy under the Political content policy.
Advertisers who are exempt from the Election Commission of India (ECI) pre-certificate requirement will have to submit an exemption letter on official government entity, commercial entity or Public Service Undertakings (PSU) letterhead with their stamp and a signature from an authorised representative of the entity.
Please note that even if ad pre-certificates are not required, advertisers wishing to run India election ads must be verified by Google.
