Google provides translated versions of our Help Centre, although they are not meant to change the content of our policies. The English version is the official language that we use to enforce our policies. To view this article in a different language, use the language drop-down at the bottom of the page.
In June 2016, we will rename and reorganise some of our Google Ads policies and pages for improved readability and understanding. All policy actions and corresponding messaging to Google Ads advertisers will include updated policy names. Note that these changes will not impact what is currently restricted or prohibited per policy.
A few examples of what’s changing:
Advertisers will find that some of our policies such as Unsupported Competitive Claims and Unclear Relevance, which are currently under the Editorial policy, will be enforced under the Misrepresentation policy after the reorganisation.
Ad format requirements will be explicitly listed in the main policy navigation menu to make it easier for advertisers to find policies applicable to various ad formats.
