Analytics offers several optional privacy features. These features can be implemented to further enhance Analytics privacy safeguards.
IP Masking
The ga('set', 'anonymizeIp', true) feature in the analytics.js library allows website owners to request that all of their users' IP addresses are masked within the product. Learn more.
Data Processing Amendment
The Data Processing Terms are available for businesses subject to the territorial scope of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Opt-out Browser Add-on
Website visitors who don’t want their data used by Analytics can install the Analytics opt-out browser add-on. This add-on instructs the Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) running on websites to prohibit their information from being used by Analytics. Using the Analytics opt-out plug-in will not prevent site owners from using other tools to measure site analytics.
Allow for / Disable ads personalization
You can control whether data collected from end users for any property may be used for ads personalization via the advanced setting to allow for ads personalization which can be found within Property settings.
