[UA] AMP Client ID and Google AMP Client ID API Policy [Legacy]

You are viewing a legacy article about Universal Analytics. Learn more about Google Analytics 4 replacing Universal Analytics.

This policy applies to your use of AMP Analytics Client IDs and/or your use of the Google AMP Client ID API, the latter of which enables you to receive from Google an AMP Client ID for use in associating end user activities on your AMP and non-AMP pages with Google Analytics.

Use of AMP Client ID

If you use AMP Client ID in conjunction with AMP Analytics, you must provide clear notice (e.g., via a Privacy Policy or other clear disclosure approach) about the use of AMP Client ID in connection with the integrated analytics provider. You must also comply with end user consent requirements, where applicable, and the terms that govern your use of the integrated analytics provider.

Use of Google AMP Client ID API

If you integrate the Google AMP Client ID API with Google Analytics, you must provide clear notice (e.g., via a Privacy Policy or other clear disclosure approach) about the use of the AMP Client ID in connection with Google Analytics. You must also comply with the EU User Consent Policy as applicable, including obtaining legally-valid rights for the transfer and use of the AMP Client ID in connection with your Google Analytics account.
