How Google Play services can use your camera
Google Play services can access your camera to help you with core user-initiated services such as the examples described below:
- Scan QR codes to help pair devices and transfer data during device setup.
- Update your Google Account profile photo.
- Scan items like barcodes, credit cards, and identity cards.
- Record your mobile game play including video from the camera. The recorded video gets saved directly to your device and isn't shared with Google.
How Google handles your information
