You can listen to media such as music and podcasts through your car's speakers with Android Auto. Your most recent media app will be on the screen. To find your compatible media apps, select the app launcher .
You can also download more compatible apps.
To use any app, make sure you're signed into that app on your phone before you start Android Auto. For more information or to troubleshoot apps, visit the app’s website. For more information, you can contact the app developer directly.
Listen to music
Listen to music with your favorite app- On your display, select the app launcher .
- Select your favorite music app to browse and play music.
- Say "Hey Google" or select the microphone .
- Say "Play music."
Some examples of things you can say are:
- "Play my [playlist name] playlist on Spotify."
- "Play [song name] on Amazon Music."
- "Play house music on Pandora."
- "Play [book title] on Audible."
- "Play [station name] on iHeartRadio."
- "Play [podcast name] on NPR One."

You can use voice commands to find, download, and queue episodes, and to start, pause, and stop them. Or make your selections on your phone before you start your trip.

Find your subscriptions
- On your display, select the app launcher .
- Select Google Podcasts or your favorite podcast app.
- With Google Podcasts, you can choose from these options:
- New episodes: new episodes from your subscriptions
- Your queue: episodes in your queue
- Downloads: episodes downloaded to your device
- History: episodes you have in progress or completed
- Subscriptions: podcasts you subscribe to
- Explore: personalized episode recommendations
- Select an episode.
- Open the Google Assistant app .
- Say "Hey Google" or tap the microphone .
- Say a command such as:
- "Play the latest episode of [podcast name]."
- "Play [podcast name]."
- "Listen to a comedy podcast."
- On your display, select the app launcher .
- Select Google Podcasts or your favorite podcast app.
- Select Subscriptions.
