If you can’t play your purchased content or games on your Android TV, here are some steps you can try.
Check your Wi-Fi connection
- On your Android TV Home screen, go to Settings .
- Under "Device," select Wi-Fi .
- Select a network.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Open one of your apps.
- Play your content or game again.
- On your Android TV Home screen, go to Settings .
- Select About System software update Software update.
- Install any available updates.
- Play your content or game again.
- On your Android TV Home screen, go to Settings .
- Select About Restart.
- Once the system restarts, play your content or game again.
- On your Android TV Home screen, go to Settings .
- Under "Accounts," check which account is signed in to your Android TV.
If you want to use another account, learn how to add or change an account.
- On your Android TV Home screen, go to Settings .
- Under "Accounts," select your Google Account.
- At the top, select Sync now.
- Play your content or game again.
- On your Android TV Home screen, go to Settings .
- Select Apps.
- Under "System apps," select the app Clear data Clear cache.
- Play your content or game again.
Some games aren’t compatible with Android TV. Here’s how to check:
- On your computer, go to Google Play.
- Find the game you want to play.
- Click Install or Installed.
- Under "Choose a device," look for your Android TV device. If it’s dimmed, the game isn’t compatible.
