Authorized Buyers supports Nielsen Digital Ad Ratings for use in validation and measurement. You can use Digital Ad Ratings in any ads across Ad Exchange inventory, including video inventory.*
Guidelines for using Nielsen Digital Ad Ratings
- Inventory: Publishers can block the use of vendor technologies, including Digital Ad Ratings, on their inventory.
- Declarations: You are required to comply with the policies in the Authorized Buyers Program Guidelines.
- Reporting: Authorized Buyers does not provide Digital Ad Ratings reporting. Contact Nielsen directly for reporting.
- Discrepancies: Authorized Buyers does not issue make good for reporting discrepancies with Digital Ad Ratings.

Declare an ad technology vendor
Nielsen is a third-party ad technology vendor. To use Digital Ad Ratings, declare the ad technology vendor in any bid responses that reference enabled creatives. For developer documentation on building your bid response, see the Real-time Bidding Protocol. If you are using a Nielsen image tag, you should declare the vendor ID 551
. Alternately, if you are using a JavaScript tag, you should declare the vendor ID 615
.
Implement a pixel in your creative
You can include the Nielsen-supplied tracking pixel as a standard 1x1 pixel within the <impression></impression>
element of your VAST XML. Depending on the declared vendor, use either the image pixel tag or JavaScript snippet. Always use the SSL version of the pixel.

To ensure a successful implementation of Digital Ad Ratings, confirm the following:
