Mail your books for scanning

Although the fastest way to submit your book is to provide digital files, established partners can also submit hard copies which Google will scan and add to their Partner Center accounts. As Google is unable to return books, please don't send irreplaceable copies.

At this time, Google can scan physical books for Partner Center accounts created before August 2013.

Guidelines for book scanning

Please follow these guidelines to determine if your printed content can be scanned. If you're unsure whether your books meet our requirements, you may submit them and we'll do our best to scan them. Books received for scanning may take several weeks to show up in your account.

  • Must be no smaller than 1.9" wide x 2.75" long in portrait orientation, or 2.75" wide x 1.9" long in landscape orientation
  • Six-page minimum for content submitted for preview on Google Books

  • Multiple volumes with distinct ISBNs will appear normally.
