Google may ask quick yes or no questions about the products you sell in your store. The questions appear when you tap the “Products” icon in your Business Profile in the Google Maps app.
When you update Google with information about the brands and product categories you offer, users who search for those items in your area can more easily find your business.
Eligible businesses
For your Business Profile to be eligible for product inventory questions, your business must be a local store that sells physical goods.

Important: Accurate responses about your inventory help to provide a better experience for shoppers on Google. Misrepresentations of your inventory violate our Policies and aren’t allowed.
To answer product questions in Maps:
- On your mobile device, open the Google Maps app .
- To open your Business Profile, at the bottom right, tap Business.
- Tap Products.
- To answer if you sell a product, tap Yes or No.
Tip: If you don't find any questions, there are currently no product inventory questions for you to answer.
Update your answers
Once you answer questions related to your product, you have the option to update your responses.
To update your answers in Maps:
- On your mobile device, open the Google Maps app .
- To open your Business Profile, at the bottom right, tap Business.
- Tap Products Manage.
- Next to the product you want to remove, tap In-store.
- To add the product back to your inventory, tap Add.
Tip: When you answer these questions, it’ll help Google understand the types of products you sell. To add individual products to your Business Profile manually, use the Product Editor. You can also add products to your Business Profile automatically.
