Introduction to AI Review Summaries on Google Maps
Important: At this time, this feature is only available in the UK, US, and India, but keep an eye out for updates.
A recent survey reports that 92% of respondents read 2+ reviews when they decide whether to visit a business, but it takes time to filter them based on a survey by Birdeye. You can find key themes and sentiments from your reviews through a new feature called AI Review Summaries on Google Maps. This makes it easier for customers to get a quick, clear snapshot of what makes your business unique. These summaries not only help to inform and attract new customers but also provide valuable insights to improve your operations.

An easier way to share your products with Google
You can answer a few quick questions to help Google understand what you sell. When you answer these questions in Google Maps, customers are more likely to get the search result for the products you carry. You don’t need to have a website or fancy setup. Learn how to answer questions about your inventory.
To get started:
- On your device, open the Google Maps app .
- At the bottom, tap Business Products.
Tip: If you don't find any questions, there are currently no product inventory questions for you to answer.
Don’t get locked out: Protect your Business Profile with multiple managers
Ever felt trapped because a former employee is the primary owner and manager of your Business Profile? It's a common situation. Many businesses rely on just one person to manage their online presence, and when that person leaves, it can create a real challenge. To prevent loss of access, make sure you have multiple managers.
Why primary ownership and adding managers matters:
- Primary ownership: While an account can have multiple owners and managers, there can only be one primary owner. This ownership can be transferred to another employee in the event of personnel changes to ensure continuous access and allow for the assignment of new owners and managers.
- Shared responsibility: Additional owners and managers have different levels of editing access, which can ensure the profile remains active and up-to-date.
