Add Google Calendar to your home screen

To check your upcoming events and meetings from the home screen without opening the Google Calendar app, add a widget.

Add the Calendar widget to your home screen

Important:

  • You can add widgets on an iPhone or iPad running iOS 14 and up.
  • To add the widget, download the Calendar app.
  • If you recently installed the Calendar app, you may need to open the app before the widget appears in the list of widgets.
  1. On your iPhone or iPad, touch and hold the home screen.
  2. At the top left, tap Add Add.
  3. In the list of widgets, tap Calendar.
  4. To select the widget size, swipe right or left.
  5. Tap Add Widget.
  6. At the top right, tap Done.

Add the Calendar widget to Today View

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, swipe right on the home screen until you find a list of widgets.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Edit.
  3. At the top left, tap Add Add.
  4. In the list of widgets, tap Calendar.
  5. To select the widget size, swipe right or left.
  6. Tap Add Widget.
  7. At the top right, tap Done.

Tip: To hide your calendar info when the screen is locked, go to Settings and then Face ID & Passcode or Touch ID & Passcode, then turn off Today View and Search.
