To check your upcoming events and meetings from the home screen without opening the Google Calendar app, add a widget.
Add the Calendar widget to your home screen
Important:
- You can add widgets on an iPhone or iPad running iOS 14 and up.
- To add the widget, download the Calendar app.
- If you recently installed the Calendar app, you may need to open the app before the widget appears in the list of widgets.
- On your iPhone or iPad, touch and hold the home screen.
- At the top left, tap Add .
- In the list of widgets, tap Calendar.
- To select the widget size, swipe right or left.
- Tap Add Widget.
- At the top right, tap Done.
Add the Calendar widget to Today View
- On your iPhone or iPad, swipe right on the home screen until you find a list of widgets.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Edit.
- At the top left, tap Add .
- In the list of widgets, tap Calendar.
- To select the widget size, swipe right or left.
- Tap Add Widget.
- At the top right, tap Done.
Tip: To hide your calendar info when the screen is locked, go to Settings Face ID & Passcode or Touch ID & Passcode, then turn off Today View and Search.
