Block calendar spam on Android

To stop different types of calendar spam, you can both remove abusive apps’ access to your calendar and choose which events to display. Review all the steps below to help make sure your Google Calendar and your Android device are safer.

Review which apps have access to your calendar

You can remove permissions for any app that you don't want to make changes to your calendar.

Important: These steps might be different on your phone. For more info, visit your device's Help Center. Learn how to change app permissions on your Android phone.

  1. On your Android device, open Settings .
  2. Tap Privacy and then Permission Manager and then Calendar.
  3. To turn calendar access on or off for an app, tap it.

Tip: If you remove an app’s permission to access your calendar data, it doesn’t delete the events already on your calendar. Learn how to delete an event.

Hide a calendar

To no longer view spam on a specific calendar, you can hide that calendar. To prevent the creation of new spam calendars, you’ll need to remove the app’s access to your calendar.

  1. On your Android device, open the Calendar app Calendar.
  2. On the top left, tap Menu Menu.
  3. In your list of calendars, uncheck any calendars you didn't create.
    • To view all of your calendars, tap Show more.

Check with your third-party service provider
