First, try these common fixes
Follow these steps on the device you're using the Google Calendar app on.
To test if you're connected to the Internet, try doing a search.
If you're not connected, make sure that data or Wi-Fi is on, and that you're not in Airplane mode.
To check that you're using the Google Calendar app, make sure the app's icon looks like this: .
Next, check your device's app store to make sure the Google Calendar app is up to date.
- Open the Google Calendar app .
- In the top left, tap Menu .
- To the left of the calendar's name, make sure the box is checked.
When you create an event, check which calendar it's being added to. If it isn't being added to the Events calendar, you may not find it in the Google Calendar app or at calendar.google.com.
- Open the Google Calendar app .
- In the bottom right, tap Add .
- Next to the event icon , look for "Event."
- If it doesn't say "Event," tap the event icon to switch to the correct calendar.
Next, try these troubleshooting tips
Try the steps above first. If they didn't work, read through these instructions on your computer while you try the steps on your device.
Note: The Google Calendar app syncs past events up to one year.
- Open the Settings app on your device (not the Google settings app).
- Tap Accounts.
- Select an account.
- Tap Account sync.
- Make sure Account sync is turned on for Google Calendar.
- Open the Google Calendar app .
- In the top left, tap Menu .
- Tap Settings .
- Tap the name of the calendar that isn't showing up. If you don't find the calendar listed, tap Show more.
- At the top of the page, make sure Sync is on (blue). You'll only find the Sync setting for calendars you've created, but not your primary calendar (this is usually called "Events" unless you've changed its name).
Note: It might take some time for your events to show up after you turn on sync.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Calendar app .
- At the top left, tap Menu Refresh .
- Open the Settings app on your device, not the "Google Settings" app.
- Tap Apps or Apps & notifications.
- To get the list of all apps, tap See all apps.
- In the top right, tap More Show system Calendar storage.
- Open the Settings app on your device (not the "Google Settings" app).
- Find the Storage section.
- If you need to clear space, try uninstalling apps you don't use or deleting files or photos from your device.
- Open the Settings app on your device (not the "Google Settings" app).
- Tap the Apps or Apps & notifications section. You may need to scroll down or go to a different page in settings.
- To get the list of all apps, tap See all apps.
- Select Calendar .
- Tap Storage Clear storage OK.
- If you find "Calendar Storage" in the list, clear data for that app too.
- Turn off your device, then turn it back on again.
Sync with Apple Calendar or Outlook
