API read permission enforcement (API users only)

Read API permissions will now be enforced for Campaign Manager 360. This means that users who have permissions to the Campaign Manager 360 network will now need explicit read API permissions as a part of their user role in order to use the read API. For most existing customers read API permissions have already been added for you and there's nothing you need to do. If you experience permissions problems when using the read API, contact support for help.

New Placement Status field in traffic sheet

Estimated week of April 4, 2022

 The following changes will be made to the traffic sheet (used to edit campaigns):

  • The Placement is Archived column will be replaced with a new Placement Status column.
  • The old Placement is Archived column supported fields of Yes and No. The new Placement status column will support fields of Active, Inactive, and Archived.

Nielsen auto tagging will be removed

Estimated week of April 4, 2022

  • Nielsen auto tagging functionality will be removed.
  • You can continue to use Nielsen tags and apply them as event tags when trafficking campaigns.
  • Nielsen reports in Campaign Manager 360 offline report builder will also be removed, including any scheduled reports and any related metrics/dimensions.

Set Top Box Targeting will be removed

Campaign manager 360 is migrating existing set-top-box targeting to CTV targeting and removing set-top-box targeting as an available choice.

  • Connected TV will represent Set Top Box in Campaign Manager 360.
  • Until Set Top Box is fully removed, you may see both Set Top Box and Connected TV as values in the Platform type dimension.

 Studio owned creatives that are missing rich media enabler won't be supported

Estimated week of April 4, 2022

  • Creatives that use functions in the rich media enabler, but don’t contain the rich media enabler in their bundle, will no longer be supported.
  • Currently, creatives of this type cannot be created in studio. After the update they won't be able to be created in Campaign Manager 360 either.

Fixing Existing invalid creative click tag names

Estimated week of April 4, 2022

Creative click tag names longer 256 characters will be truncated. This doesn't impact ad serving.

Legacy dynamic asset selection creatives will be removed

Estimated week of April 4, 2022

  • Dynamic asset selection in Campaign Manager 360 will be removed.
  • First creatives will be set to to read-only, and then eventually removed.
