Archive campaigns that you no longer need. They should have no ads running on any placements. Archived campaigns appear in your list along with active campaigns. You can easily view the status of a campaign in the "Status" column to the right. You can also filter campaigns by status using the search bar to help you focus on campaigns that are still running. You cannot delete campaigns in Campaign Manager 360, so archiving is your best option if you're finished with a campaign. (All reporting data for archived campaigns will remain available.)
Archive campaigns
-
Click Campaigns in the left navigation bar. Search for your campaign or use the filters to narrow your list down.
-
Click Status to set the campaign status to Archived. You can also archive your campaign in the campaign properties.
You can only archive a campaign that has no active ads. If you still need to deactivate ads in your campaign, first make sure your placement tags are not live on any sites.
Steps to deactivate adsAll ads must be inactive before you can archive a campaign, including default ads.
-
Before you deactivate ads, make sure your placement tags are not live on any sites. When a site has live tags and no active ads are available for an impression, a grey GIF appears on the site in place of your ad. This can cause serious issues for the publisher.
-
Open your campaign, select the ads you wish to deactivate and click Status > Archived.
-
Find archived campaigns
Click Campaigns in the left navigation bar in Trafficking. In the search bar on the right, set the filter to Status > Archived. Note that you can always set the status back to Active to reactivate a campaign.
Delete campaigns
To prevent the loss of data, Campaign Manager 360 does not allow you to delete campaigns. However, if a campaign has no active ads, you can archive it following the instructions above.
