If you're using audience lists, you must make available an appropriate description of your use of audience lists in online advertising. This description must be included in the privacy policies for all sites where users could be served ads based on audience lists or that gather information for use in audience lists.
The privacy policies should include the following information:
-
Third-party vendors, including Google, show your ads on sites on the Internet.
-
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website.
-
Users can opt out of cookies used by Google for advertising. Each site where the privacy policy is posted must provide users with at least one of the following two options for opting out:
-
Opting out of Google advertising cookies: Users can opt out of Google's use of cookies for advertising, including DoubleClick cookies, by visiting Google's Ads Settings page.
-
Opting out of cookies from all participating advertisers: Users can opt out of third-party advertising cookies from a wide range of advertising services, including Google, by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative's Opt-Out page.
-
Because advertiser sites and laws across countries/territories vary, we're unable to suggest specific privacy policy language. However, you may wish to review resources such as the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) for guidance on drafting a privacy policy.
