You can report messages that are inappropriate or that violate your organisation's guidelines in Google Chat. This feature is only available in:
- Google Workspace for Education Standard
- Google Workspace for Education Plus
- Google Workspace Enterprise Plus
Important:
- Before you can report messages, your admin must turn on Chat content reporting for your organisation.
- Your admin sets up the types of messages that you can report in Chat. If you don't see the option to report a message, you won't be able to send the message to your admin for review.
- You can only report messages sent in your organisation. Chat history must be turned on in the conversation.
Report a specific message
- On your computer, open Google Chat or Gmail.
- In Gmail: On the left, click Chat.
- Open a conversation.
- Hover over the message.
- From the available message actions, click More options Report.
- Enter your feedback.
- Click Submit report.
- The report is sent to your admin to review.
