4. Test and deploy

Chrome browser version 74 and later.

For administrators who manage Chrome browser on Windows for a business or school.

Before deploying integrated Legacy Browser Support (LBS) to your entire organization, it’s best to test your policies with a small group.

Step 1: Test your installation

  1. On a test group of computers, deploy the Chrome and Legacy Browser Support MSI packages.
  2. On each computer, go to chrome://policy.
  3. Verify that the correct policies are in effect.
  4. If you don’t see the correct policies or settings, open a command line and enter gpupdate /force to force Group Policy Management Editor to update.

Step 2: Push the MSI package

Push the Chrome and Legacy Browser Support MSI package just like you would for any other .msi installation. There are several ways you can distribute .msi files to managed Windows computers, including:

  • Active Directory Group Policy Management
  • HP Client Automation
  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
