Fix issues with saved payment info & passwords

You can save your contact, payment, and sign-in info to Chrome. If something doesn't work when you let Chrome remember your info, try these fixes.

Fix issues with passwords

Chrome doesn’t offer to save your passwords

You can still save your password to Chrome even if you aren't automatically asked to when you fill out a form.
  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Enter your info on the website you want to save the password for.
  3. On the right of the address bar, tap Passwords Save your password and then Save.

If you're on mobile or don't find the Key icon, delete your password and try to sign in again.

Delete your saved passwords

  1. On your Android device, open Chrome Chrome.
  2. On the right of the address bar, tap More More and then Settings and then Google Password Manager.
  3. Tap the password that you want to remove.
  4. At the bottom, tap Delete Delete.
  5. To complete, confirm the password that you want to delete.

To delete all your saved passwords, delete browsing data and select "Passwords."

Stop Chrome from offering to save your passwords

By default, Chrome offers to save your password. You can turn this option off or on at any time.

  1. On your Android device, open Chrome Chrome.
  2. On the right of the address bar, tap More More and then Settings and then Google Password Manager.
  3. At the bottom right, tap Settings .
  4. Turn off Offer to save passwords.
Chrome doesn't suggest your saved passwords
If Chrome doesn’t suggest a password, above the keyboard, tap Passwords Save your password and then Select password.

Fix issues with payment & contact info

You can save, edit, or delete your payment info in Chrome.

Chrome doesn't offer to save your payment or address info

If the website splits the payment form into multiple parts, Chrome might not be able to save your credit card. Instead, use your card by adding it to Google Pay:
  1. Go to pay.google.com.
  2. Add your info:
    • Payment method: Select Payment methods and then Add payment methods.
    • Address: Select Address and then Add addresses.

You can also add your payment info so it's only saved on your device, and you will not find your saved payment info on other devices. Learn more about how to add, edit and delete cards in Chrome.

Add or change payment info you’ve saved in Chrome

If you add, edit, or delete an address and you’re signed in to Chrome with your Google Account, your changes show up on your other devices where you’re signed in to Chrome with the same account.

  1. On your Android device, open Chrome Chrome.
  2. On the right of the address bar, tap More More and then Settings.
  3. Tap Addresses and more or Payment methods.
    • To add info: At the bottom, tap Add address or Add card. When you've entered your info, at the bottom, tap Done.
    • To edit info: Tap the entry. When you're done with the changes, at the bottom, tap Done.
    • To delete info: Tap the entry. At the top, tap Delete Delete.

If your payment method is saved in Google Pay, you'll need to edit or delete it in Google Pay.

Stop Chrome from offering to save your payment info

If you don't want to ever save your info to Chrome, you can turn off the prompt:

  1. On your Android device, open Chrome Chrome.
  2. On the right of the address bar, tap More More and then Settings and then Payment methods.
  3. Turn off Save and fill payment methods.
Saved Google Pay card doesn't show up in Chrome
If you want your cards from Google Pay to show in Chrome, sign in to Chrome.
