Change or hide your account photo

You can see the names and photos of each account on your Chromebook at the sign-in screen. You can change your account photo, or hide account names and photos.

Change your account photo

  1. At the bottom right, select the Time.
  2. Select Settings .
  3. Under "Wallpaper and style," select Set your wallpaper & style.
  4. At the bottom right of your account photo, select Edit .
  5. Change your account photo.
    • To take a photo, select Camera and then Take photo.
    • To take a short, looping video, select Loop and then Create a looping video.
    • To upload your own photo, choose one from your Files .

Hide your account photo from sign-in screen

  1. At the bottom right, select the Time.
  2. Select Settings .
  3. Under "Privacy and security," select Manage other people.
  4. Turn off Show usernames and photos on the sign-in screen.

Now, a generic Sign in step displays on the sign-in screen.

Tip: If your account isn't the Chromebook’s owner or you use it for work or school, you can’t hide account photos.
