You can edit and redact PDFs with Google's PDF editor.

Redact and delete PDFs

You can use the Draw function in Gallery or Google's PDF reader to cover text or images in a PDF, but this doesn't redact the document. You can still access the underlying images or text. Tips: Prevent data leaks from bookmark titles.

  • When you delete pages in the ChromeOS Gallery app PDF editor, the corresponding bookmarks that link to the deleted pages remain intact.
  • If the titles of those PDF bookmarks contain sensitive info, deleting the corresponding pages won't remove that info.
  • You can't use ChromeOS Gallery to edit PDF bookmarks. This means that you can't change titles or targets, or delete or add bookmarks.
