(CSS) How to fix: Inaccurate availability status due to inconsistency between feed and landing page

Your participation in the opportunity to show CSS product pages across Google has either been warned or suspended due to this error

Why this issue is happening

When someone clicks your CSS product page on Google, they expect to find the headline offer that has the product available for online purchase. After clicking on the headline offer from your product page, they also expect to land on a page that lists the product available for online purchase.

You received this notification because we found that the headline offer doesn’t have the product available for the online purchase.

Some common reasons for inaccurate availability include:

  • Use of IP detection and dynamic landing pages:
    • Don’t change the availability of your product on CSS product page based on a user’s location.
    • Don’t submit a headline offer that changes the availability of the product based on a user’s location.
  • Preorder and sold out products: Don’t submit a headline offer if the product isn’t immediately available for the online purchase. You can’t use a headline offer with sold out or temporary out of stock products.
  • Variant mismatch: Don’t submit a headline offer if the exact variant submitted in the product data isn’t available for online purchase.
  • Site maintenance: If your site or the online store of your headline offer have planned maintenance, or were temporarily down, verify that this was the root cause and confirm that it’s fixed before you request a re-review.
  • Headline offer doesn’t ship a product to a home address: Don’t submit a headline offer if it has a product that's only available for in-store pickup or that ships to a pick-up point.
  • Headline offer buy button: Make sure that the headline offer buy button is functioning correctly and isn't grayed out.

You should’ve received an email asking you to update your product data by a certain date.

How to fix your issue

Investigate your update process to find what could be causing the problem:

  • Look for a common problem in your product data that could cause this inaccurate availability.
  • Make sure you update your CSS product pages and product data and microdata (if applicable) at the same time.
