To help manage your mobile data, set up a Daily limit in Datally. Datally notifies you when you've reached this limit, so you can decide to keep using data or block data usage until the end of the day.
How it works
Datally counts all mobile data usage for the day and notifies you when you're approaching a specified limit and again when you reach the limit.
For example, if you set the Daily limit to 30 MB, you're notified when you reach 30 MB.
Note: Daily limit doesn’t work if Data Saver is off.
Set a Daily limit
- On your Android phone, open Datally.
- Tap Daily limit.
- Set the amount that you can use in a day.
- Tap Set a daily limit.
Note: If you set the Daily limit lower than the amount that you already used in a given day, you're notified right away. For example, if you already used 35 MB and set your limit to 30 MB, you're notified that you've reached your Daily limit.
Block or allow data after you reach your Daily limit
To manage the Daily limit, you have two options:
Control with a bottom sheet:
- When you reach the Daily limit, a bottom sheet pops up.
- If you want to block mobile data until the end of the day (12.00 a.m.), tap Block for today.
- If you want to keep using data, tap Ignore.
Control with Datally:
- On your Android phone, open Datally.
- Tap Daily limit.
- If you want to block mobile data until the end of the day (12.00 a.m.), tap Block data for today.
- If you want to turn off Daily limit, tap Turn off daily limit.
Turn off Daily limit
- On your Android phone, open Datally.
- Tap Daily limit.
- Tap Turn off daily limit.
Troubleshooting

- Data Saver is turned off.
- You've already reached the limit and selected Ignore on the bottom sheet or Turn off daily limit in the Daily limit screen.
- You'll see this notification again after 12.00 a.m.
Mobile data is still in use after reaching the Daily limit
- Tap Block for today on the bottom sheet.
- Tap Block data for today in the Daily limit screen.
