Managing your data usage can be difficult when you allow others to borrow your device. When you lend your device to someone, you can use Guest mode in Datally to set how much mobile data they can use. When the guest reaches that limit, Datally blocks all mobile data until Guest mode is turned off.
How to use Guest mode
- On your Android phone, open Datally.
- Open the menu, and tap Guest mode.
Note: In Datally version 1.7 and earlier, find Guest mode on the home screen. - Optional: Add password protection by tapping “Include a password.”
- Set the amount of data the guest can use.
- Tap Turn on guest mode.
- Set a password if enabled.
Note: Password protection is temporary. If you enter your password incorrectly, Guest mode automatically turns off after a certain period.
How to turn off Guest mode
- On your Android phone, open Datally.
- Tap Turn off guest mode.
- Enter the password if enabled.
About using Guest mode
Here are a couple of things to remember while using Guest mode:
- Data saver must be enabled while Guest mode is on.
- You cannot control Datally’s other features while Guest mode is on.
