Data management platform (DMP)

In general, a data management platform (DMP) is a centralized system for gathering first-party data, integrating with third-party data, and applying this data to a business' advertising strategy. DMPs commonly work with user data, but may also work with contextual data or other types of data.

Any audience list created in a third-party DMP may take up to one week to be synced into Display & Video 360.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if a third-party DMP changes the name of a list?

Nothing will change in Display & Video 360 if a list's name is changed by the DMP, since Display & Video 360 uses the ID of lists (not their names) when setting audience list targeting.
