If you use DFP Audience Extension, you have the option of buying additional impressions based on your first-party audience segments via Ad Exchange or DoubleClick Bid Manager (DBM). To do so, you'll first need to link your DFP account with your Ad Exchange or DBM account.
Before linking accounts
- Work with your sales representative to establish the correct Ad Exchange or DBM account for Audience Extension.
- Work with your DFP support contact to have DFP Audience Extension enabled for your DFP network. After this step is performed, your Ad Exchange or DBM account can be linked to your DFP network.
Linking accounts
To link accounts, work with someone in your organisation whose user role in DFP is set to "Administrator" and who has access to the Ad Exchange or DBM account.
- In DFP, click the Admin tab.
- In the "3rd-party services" pane at the bottom of the page, click Link accounts to share segments.
- Enter the ID of your Ad Exchange or Bid Manager account.
- Choose the buyer type: Ad Exchange or Bid Manager.
- Click Save.
- Confirm the settings and verify that the linked account is displayed in the "3rd-party services" pane.
Once your DFP account has been linked to your Ad Exchange or DBM account, segments created in DFP are available for use in these products.
