View and reorder your files and folders

Change between list and grid layout

There are two ways to view files and folders in Google Drive: list and grid layout.

• To change from list to grid layout, go to your toolbar and click the grid layout icon .
• To change back to the list layout, go to your toolbar and click the list layout icon .

Reorder files and folders

Change your 'Sort by' method in Google Drive

1. Open the app for Google Drive .
2. At the bottom right, tap Files .
3. At the top, under 'My Drive', tap your 'Sort by' method.

Change your 'Sort by' method in Google Docs, Sheets or Slides

1. Open the app for Google Docs , Sheets  or Slides .
2. At the top right, tap More   Sort by.
3. Select a 'Sort by' method.

Tip: In Google Drive, you can reverse the direction of your sort. At the top right, next to your 'Sort by' method, tap the arrow .
