After you add Google Drive apps from the Google Workspace Marketplace, you can use them with Google Drive on the web. Apps are compatible with all supported browsers.
Use and manage apps
- On your computer, go to drive.google.com.
- On the left, click New.
- Choose an app.
- After you save your file, you can find it in "My Drive."
Note: Not all Google Drive apps will be able to create files in Drive.
- On your computer, go to drive.google.com.
- Right-click on a file.
- Move your cursor over "Open with"
- Select an app.
You can make an app the default for opening certain types of files.
- On your computer, go to drive.google.com.
- Click Settings Settings.
- Click Manage apps.
- Find the app you want to use.
- Next to the app, to the left of "Use by default," check the box.
Your Google Drive app files are automatically saved after you:
- Edit a file.
- Choose "Export to Google Drive."
- Choose "Save a copy."
- Choose "Send to Drive."
Help with Google Drive apps
Many Google Drive apps are made by companies that have their own terms of use and privacy policies. To contact the company that made an app:
- On your computer, go to drive.google.com.
- Click Settings Settings.
- Click Manage apps.
- Next to the app, click Options.
- Click View product page. You'll find contact info on the Google Workspace Marketplace page.
When you open files with Google Drive apps, some apps may ask permission to view some or all files in your Google Drive.
You can revoke permission at any time.
- On your computer, go to drive.google.com.
- Click Settings Settings.
- Click Manage apps.
- Next to the app, click Options.
- Click Disconnect from Drive.
