On Samsung S22, S8 and Pixel devices, in addition to sharing your screen, you can use live sharing to:
- Select an app to share.
- Use screen-sharing controls.
Important: Live-sharing features are only available on Android 9 and up. Learn how to check your Android version.
Share your screen
- Open Google Duo .
- Start a video call.
- At the bottom, tap More options Live sharing .
- Choose an option:
- Select the app that you want to launch.
- Tap Share now .
Permission to share audio from videos or apps is on by default. You can turn it off or on.
- To start recording or casting, tap Start now Start screen sharing.
Participants can find the presentation and other participants on the call while you can view what you share.
Tip: When you share your screen, your mic is muted by default. You can tap Start screen sharing to access these additional controls:
- Unmute
- Pause screen sharing
- Return to call
- Mute notification
- Stop screen sharing
