Use live sharing on Samsung S22 and Pixel devices

On Samsung S22, S8 and Pixel devices, in addition to sharing your screen, you can use live sharing to:

  •  Select an app to share.
  •  Use screen-sharing controls.

Important: Live-sharing features are only available on Android 9 and up. Learn how to check your Android version.

Share your screen

  1. Open Google Duo Duo.
  2. Start a video call.
  3. At the bottom, tap More options and then Live sharing .
  4. Choose an option:
    • Select the app that you want to launch.
    • Tap Share now .
      Permission to share audio from videos or apps is on by default. You can turn it off or on.
  5. To start recording or casting, tap Start now and then Start screen sharing.

Participants can find the presentation and other participants on the call while you can view what you share.

Tip: When you share your screen, your mic is muted by default. You can tap Start screen sharing  to access these additional controls:

  • Unmute
  • Pause screen sharing
  • Return to call
  • Mute notification
  • Stop screen sharing
