If you aren't receiving call notifications, or they’re delayed, try these tips to fix the problem.
Try some common fixes
If you’re using Duo for web:
Check your Internet connection: Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet.
If you're using Duo on a Chromebook:
- Connect to the Internet: Learn how to connect your Chromebook to Wi-Fi.
- Re-open the app: To start Duo again, exit and then re-open the app.
- Download the latest version of the app: Check that you have the latest version of Duo for Chrome OS. If you don't, the page will say 'Update'.

Turn on Duo notifications
To receive Duo notifications on your computer, give notification permission to Duo in your browser settings.
For Chrome:
- At the top right of your browser, click More Settings.
- In the search menu, enter 'Notifications'.
- Click Content settings Notifications .
- Next to 'Allow', click Add.
- Enter duo.google.com.
- Click Add.
If you’re using a different browser, check their website for instructions:
Check blocked numbers
- On your computer, go to duo.google.com.
- At the top right, click Settings Blocked users.
- Check whether the number has been blocked:
- To unblock a number, click Remove .
Try more fixes for a Chromebook
Turn on Duo notifications
- Open your device's settings .
- Select Google Play Store Manage Android preferences Apps Duo Notifications.
- If notifications are off, turn them on.
- Open Duo More Settings Notifications.
- If call notifications are off, turn them on.
Check blocked numbers
- On your Chromebook, open Duo.
- At the top right, select More Settings Blocked numbers.
- Check that the phone number isn't blocked.
