View buildings in 3D

In Google Earth Pro, you can view buildings as realistic, 3D images. You can also save these images to use them in other places.

  1. Open Google Earth Pro.
  2. In the left panel, select Layers.
  3. Next to "Primary Database," click Right Arrow Right arrow.
  4. Next to "3D Buildings," click Right Arrow Right arrow.
  5. Uncheck any image options you don’t want to see.
  6. Go to a place on the map.
  7. Zoom in until you see buildings in 3D.
  8. Explore the area around you.

Save 3D buildings as images

You can save a 3D building as an image file to use in other places.

Windows & Linux

  1. To view a building in 3D, follow the steps in the previous section.
  2. Click File and then Save and then Save Image.
  3. At the top, click the button that says Save Image.
  4. Choose where to save the file.
  5. In the "File name" field, enter a name.
  6. In the "Save as Type" field, choose a file type from the dropdown.
  7. Click Save.

Mac

  1. To view a building in 3D, follow the steps in the previous section.
  2. Click File and then Save and then Save Image.
  3. At the top, click the button that says Save Image.
  4. In the "Save As" field, enter a name.
  5. In the "Where" field, choose where to save the file.
  6. Click Save.
