If you let Google Earth find your location through your device, you can:
- Locate yourself on the globe.
- Get easy access to info about the world around you.
Tip: When you use the location feature and your position can’t be exactly determined, a large blue circle indicates the general area Google Earth thinks you're in.
Change your location access settings
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app.
- Tap Privacy
Location services.
- At the top, turn on or off Location services.
- To change Google Earth's access to your location, tap Google Earth

So Google Earth can always find your location, you can change your location mode.
To switch between location modes, on the right, tap My Location
